Children are important in our church.
On Sunday morning we have Sunday School classes for children of all ages.
Very young children are provided with child care with a paid staff.
For older children, there are classes for children kindergarten through middle school.
We also provide child care during the Adult Class
that meets for an hour following the service each Sunday.
We have special programming involving children
at Christmas time
and sometimes again in the spring.
There is also a Vacation Bible School in the summer.
In recent years VBS has included preparation
to participate in the County Fair Parade.
Several times during the year we have
Wednesday Evening Programs
that provide opportunities for children and adults
to enjoy each others' company and share in activities together.
We also have Middle School and High School youth groups.
The Middle School Group meets on Sunday mornings at 9:30
during the worship service.
The High School Group meets on Sunday evenings at 7:00
with young people playing key leadership roles.
These activities combine fellowship with learning and service opportinities.
In the April of 2002 our Adult Fellowship Forum studied
Youth and Substance Abuse on South Whidbey.
Some of the resources
we learned about in that study series
can be found here.
